Sex and the City 2 (2010)

The other night I was having a girl’s movie night, and rented Sex and the City 2.

Juliet by Anne Fortier

I really, really wanted to like Juliet by Anne Fortier. I love everything about this book as far as the history involved with it and was so excited to read it.

The Impressionists

Just read The Impressionists by Tom Rachman, and I’ll admit that it took me at least half of this book to truly get into it. Once I did, I liked it until the end, which was rather disturbing to me.

The Impressionists

I had the opportunity to read The Imperfectionists: A Novel through the Amazon Vine Program recently, and I really enjoyed it. It took me a while to get into though. I really don’t care for books that start out slowly, but I was glad I gave this one some time. Author Tom Rachman wrote about [...]

The Queen’s Mistake

The Queen’s Mistake: In the Court of Henry VIII by Diane Haeger is about Henry VIII’s ill-fated fifth wife Catherine Howard, who (just like her cousin Anne Boleyn) lost her head on the chopping block after being accused of adultery. I picked up this book because I really enjoyed Haeger’s book about Henry’s sister Mary, [...]

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was a movie I didn’t expect to like. I hadn’t heard that much about it and wasn’t all that enthusiastic about seeing another Jim Carey movie. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.

Almost French: Love and a New Life In Paris

Almost French: Love And A New Life In Paris is the story of a woman who goes to France to visit a French lawyer she has only met a couple times before and barely knows. Of course, she gets caught up in the romance of the city and stays on to live there. Despite this [...]

The Time Traveler’s Wife (Book and Movie)

A few years ago I was in a book group and we read The Time Traveler’s Wife. I probably wouldn’t have picked up this book if we hadn’t discussed it in the group (which is really a great reason to join a book group, because it gets you out of your reading comfort zone).

Hello Cupcake

Cupcakes are just the hottest thing right now, aren’t they? I’ve served them for kid’s parties, dinner parties, and holiday picnics. You dress them up, dress them down, and they can pretty much serve any occasion.

Life on Mars

I’ve recently discovered the British version of Life on Mars, and man, what a show! Someone told me about this year ago, and then I saw that it also came out in America.
